LinkedIn and password compromise
It’s been reported today (6-6-2012; the anniversary of D-Day, by the way) that LinkedIn has had a ‘compromise’ of some passwords. Users reported that their passwords were found on sites that sell stolen passwords.
Fortunately, the compromised accounts have been frozen for now.
If you use LinkedIn, and your password has been compromised (read: hacked), you’ll receive an email reporting this, and how to go about resetting your password. There will not be a link in the email to change the password, it must be done via the site.
Just thought that I’d mention this, since having a professional appearance and connections can be important for networking for information exchange and any changes in careers.
